TRANSMISSION LINE ENGINEERING MANAGER – 5 OPENINGS

Tualatin, OR | Irvine, CA | Houston, TX | Overland Park, KS | Denver, CO | Bloomington, MN | Ann Arbor, MI | Raleigh, NC | Orlando, FL - Full-time | Onsite for 90 days, then hybrid (3 days/week)

Gabriella & Co. is partnering with a top-ranked, employee-owned US engineering firm to hire five Transmission Line Engineering Managers across its national offices. Candidates near another major office of the firm may also be considered.

This is not a conventional project management role. The firm needs a hands-on PLS-CADD authority who owns engineering execution while staying deeply involved in transmission line design, elevating technical quality and training other engineers.

What you'll lead

  • Engineering execution across large or multiple overhead transmission line projects, while staying active in design decisions
  • Design reviews, technical quality, QA/QC and responsible-charge activities
  • Structural design covering foundations, framing and materials across steel, wood, laminated and composite structures
  • Mentoring engineers, setting technical direction and training the team in effective PLS-CADD application
  • Coordination with multidisciplinary teams through design, review and delivery
  • Client relationships, technical presentations, pursuits and business development

What you bring

  • 8–12+ years of overhead transmission line design experience at 69kV or above; 500kV+ strongly preferred
  • Expert-level PLS-CADD, including the ability to teach, review and elevate other engineers' work
  • Roughly 90% structural orientation: transmission structures, foundations, framing and material selection
  • Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering (other disciplines considered with directly relevant experience)
  • Demonstrated success resolving complex design issues and maintaining engineering standards on major projects
  • Engineering consulting or EPC-firm experience strongly preferred over utility-only backgrounds

Preferred: PE license in any US state; lattice tower experience.

Package: base salary plus incentive, full benefits, 401(k), employee ownership through an ESOP, possible relocation assistance. Occasional travel; background, drug and MVR checks apply. Employees work in the office five days a week for the first 90 days, then three days a week. US Citizens or Green Card holders only; no visa sponsorship is available.

To be considered, reply with your resume, preferred office location, and a note on your voltage levels, PLS-CADD depth, structural design scope and PE status. Please also confirm that you have not applied to or been submitted for this role in the past 90 days.
